Use Our News
The USPS offers information about the newest stamp issues in their
online magazine Beyond the Perf. The site includes stories about the
artists who design US stamps, shows images of pictorial post marks,
and has articles about famous people honored on stamps.
The Virtual Stamp Club is another chapter of the
American First Day Cover Society that promotes our
hobby. In addition to news and tips, their site has a
forum for members to post opinions and discuss topics
relating to philately.
Holiday-Name Post Marks
Dec 2011 -- News comes to us often now about USPS closing small-town
post offices. Some we may truly miss are those with winter-themed
names. These are on the proposed closing list: Bethlehem, IN; Snow,
OK; Antler, ND; Chestnut, IL.
